Geo Trans International Pvt. Ltd., a Globalia member in Hyderabad, India, recently undertook a time-sensitive logistics project involving the transportation of motorcycles for a film shoot commercial advertisement. The operation, conducted under strict confidentiality due to a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), posed a unique set of challenges."The cargo consisted of brand-new motorcycles that were a part of a high-profile film project and the customer requested complete discretion," said Alamelu Ramaswamy, a representative from Geo Trans International. "We used air transport from Mumbai to Bangkok for the initial round trip, and LCL mode for the return journey from Bangkok to Nhava Sheva," noted Ramaswamy. Additionally, the company used a 40’ GP container for part of the return journey. They handled every stage of the shipment meticulously, offering their client full 5PL services, from fumigation to unpacking and repacking under their export license. Geo Trans also took into account customs holidays, anticipated delays, and inspection time frames to ensure a seamless delivery. The motorcycles were packed in non-stackable wooden cases, designed for easy inspection and repacking. They used nuts and screws for the packing so that the four sides of the cases could be removed easily for inspection and reassembled quickly Ramaswamy explained. "This was a time-sensitive cargo operation, and our team had to navigate several challenges, including delivering ahead of schedule," he said. Congratulations to Globalia Hyderabad for successful handling of this important shipment!
